Feel free to suggest more things and discuss them with me and the other admins... it is always nice with a fresh view on things. Perhaps you know how to do stuff? For instance the character templates... do you know how to change the colors for them? I always planned to color code characters based on "factions" you see? I.E the Rare-kinds would have one type of color for their character temnplate and the Code:Numbers would have another ect ect ect well you get the picture... It's just a cosmetic thing of course and not really "that" important, but its something I've wanted to do for a while now.
Another thing I wanted to fix was some of the linking... but I'll get back to you on that one at another time....
Alright, will do. I'm pretty good with wikia code. The template I could edit the colors of them no problem. I could make a seprate template for the Rare kinds, and other factions. giving them a special color. I could do it pretty quickly too. The linking, I should be able to fix some of it.
Isn't there a way to change the colors through the parameters of the template? (So there would be a parameter of |color = whatever) I'm not sure how to add that onto the template, though.
I suppose we ask. it makes no difference to me though. if we figure out that way, then I'll just edi the current template we have. If not, i'll just make one for each faction.
I took a quick glance at it, and as far as I know. I don't see one that just changes the color, you'd still need seperate infoboxes, per character faction
I think we can just ask. I know that you can change colors based on parameters; I've seen it used on other Wikis. I simply have no concept on how to do it.
Alright then, I suppose we ask then. i'm not good at asking the central wiki questions~ the other reason why though, is because I don't like dealing with the code from the current template. it also appears as if the Template came from the Fairy Tail wiki. code wise.
It did. I was attempting to get the tabs at the top, since one of the old FT Infoboxes had it, but it failed to work since I wasn't an Administrator and as such could not enter the codes into the MediaWiki that was needed.
The tabs at the top, that I'm using on my test page, can support up to three tabs, I pulled it from reborn wiki (I implmented it there to begin with, as well as remade there infoboxes) Entering the codes for the tabs was annoying. but the thing is with the Ft templates. compared to what I'm using, there fairly messy, and have unneeded code. which is hard to deal with (for me anyways) compared to what I wanna use
I definitely agree. I tried to clean out some of the code, to no avail since I have no clue what I could or couldn't get rid of.
I'm fine with you doing a complete overhaul, as long as you keep the same parameters. I'm not too keen on having to change every single parameter on the character pages.
